FAQ

Customers

  • Yes. We are strictly an asset-based carrier. That means that our equipment will pick up and deliver your freight.
  • An asset-based carrier such as Silver will be able to offer a level of security that you might not be able to get with a freight broker. When you choose an asset-based carrier that means that the carrier’s equipment will be used to haul your freight. Freight Brokers tend to use carriers that are available in the area, which could mean that you don’t always get the same level of service or insurance coverage for your freight.
  • Freight Brokers aren’t usually liable for damages to your freight. In case of a freight claim, you could be up to the mercy of the carrier that you didn’t approve yourself.
  • Working directly with a reputable asset-based carrier could save you 10%-30% on your shipping costs, if not more.
